Learning the RopesIn this 90-minute class, you will learn the rope skills needed to climb and belay on top rope at First Ascent. Upon successful completion of this class, you may top rope climb for the rest of the day. On your next visit, ask for a top rope check to earn your top rope belay tag and access to top rope climbing.
Learning to BoulderIn this one hour class, you will learn the basics of bouldering safety, including proper spotting and falling technique, difficulty ratings, down-climbing, and some climbing terminology! You will also learn basic climbing technique to help you jump-start your bouldering progress.
Top Rope TechniqueIn this 90 minute class intended to be a follow up for our Learning the Ropes class, we will cover the basic techniques and terminology specific to climbing on ropes!
Terrain Series: OverhangIn this class, we'll cover techniques for improving endurance on overhang, the footwork techniques that are useful for this style of climbing, movement, and training tools to help you become a better climber on overhanging terrain!
